Mohamed Mouaddine, Owner

Mohamed.jpg

Mohamed was born and raised in Beni Mellal, Morocco. In 2001, after 8 years of service working for the king of Morocco, managing and maintaining the royal fleet of vehicles, Mohamed moved to the United States.

Before opening Amina, Mohamed spent three years earning his ASE Master Technician Certifications and working as a tech at Ed Bozarth Chevrolet in Aurora, CO.

In 2004, Mohamed opened Amina Auto Repair at Colfax and Lansing Street, moving the business in 2011 to the corner of Dayton and East 25th Avenue. Mohamed hoped his hard-working, honest approach would fill the need for a quality family-style repair shop in the neighborhood.

Mohamed is married to Malika Omari, also from Morocco, they live just three blocks from the shop with their children: Amina, Otman, and Heba. Together they love to host family and friends from near and far.

Mohamed is a board member of Village Exchange Center, a neighborhood non-profit promoting community and offering space to immigrants and refugees in the Denver area. There he initiated and sustains the “Drive it Forward” program that provides vehicles for people in need.

Mohamed was destined to be a Coloradan. He is a fearless skier and looks forward to weekends fishing, camping, and hiking with his kids.

Laura Galvan,
Service Writer

In many ways, it feels like Laura has always been a part of the Amina team. Before joining us Laura was a commercial parts specialist at both O’Reilly and Advance Auto Parts. For years Laura was our go-to supplier simply because she knew her stuff and we could always count on her. When she decided she was ready for a career change it was a no-brainer and we snatched her up.

As the oldest sister in a family of six kids, Laura is a master of managing people and juggling multiple tasks. Laura grew up in Denver, she is married, has 5 dogs, loves to paint, travel, water ski, and bike. Laura’s car knowledge, work ethic, and easy-going nature make her a perfect fit at Amina.

Laura Willius,
Marketing

Laura came to Amina Auto Repair as a customer in 2012. She was so impressed with Mohamed’s knowledge, honest approach, and hard work, she offered up her design skills to help promote the shop to her long-time neighborhood that needed a go-to mechanic. Joining the team full time in 2013, Laura has learned the business from the front of the house to the back. Her duties include everything from jump-starting cars and dealing with insurance companies, to designing our website and maintaining our social media.

Laura, along with her husband and three kids, has called Central Park home for 18 years. Her favorite part of the job; meeting new people and getting to help old friends.

Zachary Swank,
Technician

Zack came to Colorado to get out of the Houston heat. As a kid, Zack worked on bicycles, tearing them down and putting them back together with his grandfather. Always happy with grease on his hands, Zack decided to attend automotive trade school.

Now with 10 years of experience under his belt, Zack is quickly earning his tenure at Amina, mastering complicated diagnostics and heavy repairs.

Along with cars, Zack loves skiing and camping in the Colorado mountains. We are glad he plans to be a permanent Coloradan and Amina team leader.

Daniel Rodriguez,
Technician

Daniel came to the United States from Colombia, South America, on a work study program through his University. A natural with his hands, he enjoyed his studies in mathematics and engineering, but his true calling as a “fixer” led him to Amina Auto. Daniel is also an avid mountain biker, hiker, camper, and traveler. In his five years in the US he has lived in four states. Daniel’s favorite, of course, is Colorado.
